1.0 Introduction & Supported Device list
========================================

This is the firmware for the following Dell    PCIe SSD devices:

2.0 Installation Instructions
=============================

2.1 Firmware Update using Dell Update Package (DUP)
---------------------------------------------------

Dell Update Package (Windows):
------------------------------
Download the executable from support.dell.com. This package can be executed from the operating system.

	Installation:
	1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file.
	2. Click the "Install".
	3. Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update.

	
Dell Update Package (RHEL/SLES):
--------------------------------
Download the executable from support.dell.com. This package can be executed from the operating system.

	Installation:
	1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and run the update by executing "./--PCIe-SSD_FRMW_LX_....BIN" from the shell.
	2. Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update.	
	

GnuPG Signature of Dell Update Package Instructions for --PCIe-SSD_FRMW_LX_....BIN.sign:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

	Download:
	Download the latest GnuPG Signature of Dell Update Package from support.dell.com.

	1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file. 
	2. Read over the release information presed in the dialog window. 

	Installation:
	1. Import the Dell public key. (You only need to do this once on your system.)
	2. Verify the Dell Update Package by using its signature file, --PCIe-SSD_FRMW_LX_....BIN.sign.

	

3.0 Important Information
=========================

Dell   NVMe PCIe SSDs are only supported in select Dell  servers. To ensure that you have the correct configuration for the PCIe SSD, see the platform-specific Owner’s Manual at support.dell.com/manuals.

Orderly hot swap is only supported for the   NVMe PCIe SSDs in 2.5 inch Small form factor and only when installed in a supported Dell system running a supported operating system.  Please see the   NVMe PCIe SSD User's Guide for more information on device managem.


	
4.0 Known Limitations 
=====================

Booting from the   NVMe PCIe SSDs is only supported in 2.5 inch Small form factor and only as a UEFI boot device in select Dell  systems with select operating systems.  Please see the   NVMe PCIe SSD User's Guide for more information.
