To Save Configuration

  1. Click on the Gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen as seen below
  2. Click Save to Startup Configuration
This saves your configuration, so that if the switch reboots, it loads the configuration you just saved.

 

To Backup Configuration

  1. On the left menu, click Switch Management then File Update and Backup
  2. Click on Edit next to Backup Files
  3. Under File Type And Protocol click Startup Configuration and HTTP.
  4. When you click OK the configuration will be saved locally on your computer for future use.
Note: You should always backup configuration before making changes so you can revert if needed.
 

To Apply a Backup Configuration to a switch

  1. On the left menu, click Switch Management then File Update and Backup
  2. Click on Edit next to Update Firmware / Configuration
  3. Under File Type and Protocol make sure Configuration Download is selected, and HTTP
  4. Click Choose File and browse to the location of your backup configuration
  5. Click Startup Configuration and click OK
The switch will download the backup configuration, and will reboot once you acknowledge the successful download. After the switch is done rebooting, it will have its backup configuration running in the switch.
