If you signed in with your business account and feel you should have access, you can submit a request through our Administrative Support with an Account Access issue.

Hello, After digging up, I found the users need to open "port 443" and allow the URL "http://dell.to/3j1GjtQ" in their customer firewall application to resolve the connectivity issue. here refer link "OpenManage Enterprise Services Version 2.0.1 Support Matrix Network Requirements" http://dell.to/3YlZcb0

I saw that after OME 3.9 release a similar problem was solved. If OME is not up to date, I would like you to update to 3.9, then also the plugins should be updated also. It will require updating to 3.9 first then updating the plugins (requires a few appliance restarts, so it might take some time)

If the problem persists after these, there is a need for a level 3 involvement. It's like an intervention that maybe needs to be done on your account. I recommend that you reach out to your local support team on a device with a prosupport warranty and proceed.

Hope that helps!

Good morning, yes that's normal. I also can't reach directly to https://esrs3-core.emc.com/ but as I understand it needs to establish between the appliance and the backend server. I reviewed it again and I would like to share what I found as follows.

  • NOTE If SSL decryption is enabled on the proxy servers and other devices, ensure that esrs3-core.emc.com:443 is added to the SSL decryption exclusion list on the proxy servers and devices.
  • If HTTPS interception is enabled on the proxy server, the connectivity between Services and Dell EMC backend fails. To avoid connectivity issues due to HTTPS Interception, add esrs3-core.emc.com:443 to the exception list of the proxy server.
  • please check that their proxy trusts the following sites:
  • To configure the OpenManage Enterprise proxy settings, expand Proxy Configuration.(https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/dell-openmanage-enterprise/ome_p_3.9_users_guide/configure-openmanage-enterprise-network-settings?guid=guid-95cf0dcc-a2a8-455d-9d5b-3bfe8bf0fd2e&lang=en-us)
    1. Select the Enable HTTP Proxy Settings check box to configure the HTTP proxy, and then enter HTTP proxy address and HTTP port number.
    2. Select the Enable Proxy Authentication check box to enable proxy credentials, and then enter the username and password.
    3. Select the Ignore Certificate Validation check box if the configured proxy intercepts SSL traffic and does not use a trusted third-party certificate. Using this option will ignore the built-in certificate checks used for the warranty and catalog synchronization.
    4. In the Proxy Exclusion List box, you can enter the IPv4 and/or IPv6 addresses or the domain names of the devices that can bypass the proxy server to directly access the appliance.
    5. Click Apply.
    6. To reset the settings to default attributes, click Discard.

I'm not an OME expert but just brainstorming. If the connectivity issues continue it maybe need to uninstall and reinstall the plugin hence the plugin can write fresh security keys.

I think the software solution team might be helpful about generate access key. Unfortunately, I don't have further information about it. For licenses you can review this pdf it is very detailed. http://dell.to/3BEe8rh

Also, you can try the trial licenses from here http://dell.to/3HE93TG;
