Instructions

This alert is normal after any Storage Center upgrade.

To clear the alert, on the Summary or Storage tabs, click to ‘Rebalance Ports’. If the rebalance was successful, this alert can be acknowledged and cleared.

If the rebalance failed, perform the following steps to troubleshoot:
  1. Verify both controllers are fully booted
  2. Verify all front end physical ports are up and report the expected speed.
  3. Expand out Controller I/O ports to determine what ports are unbalanced, they have a yellow exclamation mark in the list of ports. Determine the preferred ports for the ports that are unbalanced and use that information to troubleshoot.
  4. If Fibre Channel, verify zoning is correct, per zoning best practices.
  5. If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact technical support for assistance.
