MD3200i Controller Locked

Could someone tell me the way to unlock an MD3200i Controller, it is not under warranty. I have the shell username and password but I have no idea which way to go.

 

Alguem poderia me informar o caminho para desbloqueio de uma Controladora do MD3200i, não esta na garantia. Eu tenho o usuario e senha do Shell mas nao tenho ideia de qual caminho seguir.

What kind of lockdown mode error are you having? Do you have a screenshot of the error or you could let us know what is the issue/error that you are facing. Was there a controller replacement?

Hello, there was no controller change, I just performed a firmware upgrade, everything went well with the update, the two controllers appeared in the MDSM but after cleaning the equipment when I went to start it it came back with this error. it has these lights on the back too. is it possible to recover?

 

Olá, não houve troca de controlador, eu realizei apenas upgrade de firmware, tudo ocorreu bem com a atualização, os dois controladores apareciam no MDSM porem após limpeza do equipamento quando fui inicia-lo ele voltou com esse erro. ele tem essas luzes na parte de tras tambem. é possivel recuperar?

Hello @Leandro Cirino,


I can see the RTC Error: Real-time clock device is not working ok. And NVSRAM Error: NVSRAM device failure. And ERROR: FPGA FW is out of date.


It's weird that you still have a FW out of date even after the update. Are you sure the update was performed correctly?


And what do you mean with "cleaning the equipment"? What you exactly did on the MD?


You want to see if you can try to sync the clocks first on the controllers to see they just got out of sync. If you are not able to get them to sync then there could be an issue with the RTC on the controllers. Also if you are running an older version of firmware then it is good to upgrade that as well.


If that does not work, you will need to contact support and ask for an out of warranty repair.

I already tried to synchronize the clock, but without success! The update was completed, I checked the firmware of both controllers, it behaves as if something corrupted on startup, it manages to get an IP via DHCP but this IP is not recognized in MDSM. External cleaning of the equipment, as it had been stopped for a long time, it was full of dust. Is there any way to sync by another method? Any commands I can do without help from support? How does out-of-warranty repair work?

Have you installed the MD Storage Software from the link provided for the Resource DVD   https://dell.to/3k8GynD?

Install menu should look like the image I attach.

It looks like you installed software for Compellent.
