Multi-UPS Management Console
I've been trying to set up the Dell UPS management software to shut down my virtual machines and hosts when the power fails.
I have installed the Dell Multi-UPS Management Console on my vcenter server. The software has found my UPS and I have configured Virtualzation and added a supervisor (My Vcenter Server) in the Settings section.
From my understanding the program should populate the nodes with my hosts and vm's, so I can configure a graceful shutdown etc etc.
The problem is that nothing seems to happen, I cannot see any host or Virtual Machine information.
My setup:
2 X Dell PE 610 (ESXi 5.0 Hosts)
1 X Dell PE 510 (Vcenter 5.0 server)
1 X Dell MD3200
2 X Dell 1920w UPS
Thanks

Nitsuj7,
Have you configured the console actions yet?
This link is to the manual, if you go to section 3 it discusses the configuration of the nodes.

Let me know how it goes.

HI
Looks like it was the windows firewall stopping the connection between MUMC and vcenter. Seems to work now.
I also enabled the vCenter Plugin. The plugin shows up in vcenter, but when I go to the Dell MUMC tab in vcenter i get:
"Navigation to the webpage was canceled" in the window. Any Ideas?

Hi.
You could reference this article: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1010030
And also check your firewall is allowing the Dell UPS/MUMC ports to communicate properly:
Hope this helps!

Fix it! Its just the windows IE security settings stopping the webpage from showing. Thanks for your help
