1. Clean the CTD Sensor

  1. Ensure that the printer is turned off.
  2. Push down the latch to open the rear cover.
  3. Open the right side cover.
  4. Turn the waste toner box lock lever 90-degrees counterclockwise to unlock the waste toner box.

  5. Grasp the handle on the waste toner box and pull it out making sure to hold it upright so that the waste toner does not spill out.

  6. Stand the removed waste toner box upright on a level surface.

  7. Lift the operator panel.

2. Clean The ROS

 

To prevent deterioration of printing quality due to stains inside the printer, clean inside the printer regularly by using the cleaning rod whenever you replace drum cartridges.

  1. Open the right side cover.
  2. Turn the waste toner box lock lever 90-degrees counterclockwise to unlock the waste toner box.

  3. Grasp the handle on the waste toner box and pull it out making sure to hold it upright so that the waste toner does not spill out.

3. Replace the Imaging Drums

 

If the error remains, one of the imaging drums will need to be replaced. Check the corresponding error codes to determine which drum needs to be replaced.

  • 092-670 - Yellow
  • 092-671 - Magenta
  • 092-672 - Cyan
  • 092-670 – Black

Update the Firmware once the drums are replaced.

NOTE: If the Drum Cartridge has already been replaced and the error remains, replace the Belt Unit. If the Belt Unit has already been replaced and the error remains, contact Dell Technical Support from the link below.
